This project is a design-build effort aimed at creating a natural cluster of buildings in a very limited space. Six single occupancy buildings, a 5-stall parking garage, and a commons building are situated on a ½-acre site, which also includes a common courtyard and a pea-patch. The buildings are also designed to smartly locate windows and other openings within common stud spacing to minimize redundant framing members.
A collaborative process between the architect, engineer and contractor throughout the design phase of the project was required to meet construction budgets.
