SUNCADIA GREETERS COTTAGE
The building is a single story greeter’s cabin located along the entry road to Phase One of the Suncadia Village Resort Community.  Nestled upon a bluff overlooking the Cle Elum River Valley, designed to maximize views of the valley, mountains, and Cle Elum River, Suncadia Village is a 6300-acre resort community.  The exterior skin of the building is mountain rustic with stone, board and batten siding and clad wood windows.  The roof framing includes heavy timber trusses and conventional timber framing.  Extremely high snow loads and local Architectural Review Board presented some design challenges.
