Meet The Team
Brian Lampe
Principal PE, SE
Brian has worked in the structural engineering industry for over 20 years and in the construction industry since the 1980s. Brian’s love for all things related to timber began as a teenager where he built trusses for his family’s business, Lampe Lumber in Central California. After he received his BS in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University, he worked as a truss designer in Woodinville and then for a structural engineering firm in Seattle. He founded BTL Engineering in 2001. When he is not figuring out how to best frame interesting structures, you might find him playing basketball or pinochle, driving with the top down, enjoying a concert at a winery, or finishing 2nd place in a local pub trivia game.

A pacific northwest native, Aiden loves the great outdoors and is usually out exploring mountain tops or tidepools when he isn’t working. He has experience with light framed wood construction and has practice working with many of the developers and architects in the greater Seattle region. He loves tackling new projects that challenge him and is excited to continue his career at BTL.

Dane has grown up in Washington for his whole life and enjoys exploring the rivers for fish, the woods for foraging mushrooms, and volunteer ski patrolling/climbing in the mountains. He takes his problem-solving experience and enthusiasm from the outdoors to engineering! He specializes in home remodels where he can travel to new places to discover solutions that often take a lot of exploratory work and the willingness to get a little dirty!
